  • 1 kg White Sausage The star of the dish.
  • 2 medium Onions Adds sweetness.

For the Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Enhances browning.
  • 1 tbsp Dried Marjoram Traditional herbal note.

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dish

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  • Place the white sausage in a baking dish and poke holes with a fork.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, and marjoram over the sausage.
  • Pour water or broth around the sausage.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature is at least 75°C (167°F).
  • Let the sausage rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This baked white sausage pairs wonderfully with mustard and sauerkraut. Consider serving it alongside roasted potatoes or a fresh salad.
