For the Patties

  • 2 pounds Ground Beef Use an 80/20 blend for optimal juiciness.
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika Can substitute with regular paprika.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can also be used.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adjust according to spice tolerance.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

For the Caramelized Onions

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can substitute with vegetable oil.
  • 2 medium Onion (sliced) Choose yellow or white onions.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Can be swapped for honey.
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar White vinegar can be a substitute.

For Assembling

  • 8 sliders Slider Buns Gluten-free buns work as an alternative.
  • 8 slices Cheddar Cheese Opt for dairy-free cheese for a vegan version.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce Use your favorite brand.
  • 1 cup Pickles (sliced)

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and brown sugar, cooking for about 8 minutes until they’re beautifully caramelized and golden.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Shape the mixture into eight equal slider patties.
  • Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3 minutes on each side. Add cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking.
  • Brush the cut sides of your slider buns with melted butter and toast them on a skillet or grill for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom buns. Layer each with a cheeseburger patty, caramelized onions, sliced pickles, and top with the other half of the bun.

Notes

Optional: Serve with crispy fries or a fresh salad for a delightful meal! Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
