How to Make Fattet Hummus

  • Prepare the Chickpeas: If using dried chickpeas, soak overnight and cook until tender. Canned chickpeas work well too—just drain and rinse.
  • Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning with more salt or lemon juice as desired. Blend again for a uniform flavor.
  • Serve and Garnish: Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with whole chickpeas, and dash with paprika.
  • Enjoy: Serve warm or at room temperature with pita, veggies, or as a spread.

Notes

Peeling chickpeas before blending enhances creaminess. Always use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days with a splash of water or lemon when reheating.
