Instructions
Dough Preparation
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually pour in olive oil and warm water, stirring until a dough forms.
Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Allow it to rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Baking
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Once risen, divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a 6-inch circle.
Mix together the Akkawi and mozzarella cheeses, then spread this mixture onto the rolled dough. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with za’atar.
Transfer flatbreads to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melting.
Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
