  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch enhances crispy texture

  • 3/4 cup Cold Water for batter consistency

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Honey swap with maple syrup for vegan version
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 cloves Garlic fresh garlic preferred
  • 1 tbsp Ginger use fresh for best flavor
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes optional

Preparation Steps

  • Prepare the Cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into even, bite-sized florets.
  • Mix the Batter: Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Gradually add cold water until smooth.
  • Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each floret into the batter, ensuring complete coverage.
  • Heat the Oil: Heat oil in the pan to 350°F.
  • Fry Until Golden: Fry the cauliflower for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Drain the Bites: Remove and place on a wire rack to drain.
  • Make the Sauce: Simmer honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a saucepan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Coat the Wings: Toss fried cauliflower in the warm sauce until fully coated.

Notes
