  • 1 cup sour cream can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar optional; can substitute with honey
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar apple cider vinegar can be used as an alternative
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill reduce quantity if using dried dill

For the Salad

  • 2 large English cucumbers regular cucumbers can be used but may need to be peeled
  • 1 small onion sweet onions are a milder substitute
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Thinly slice the cucumbers and onions using a mandolin or sharp knife.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, granulated sugar, white vinegar, and chopped fresh dill until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold the dressing into the sliced cucumbers and onions.
  • Season your salad with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Place the salad in the refrigerator to chill for 1-2 hours.

Notes

Optional: Garnish with extra chopped dill before serving for a burst of freshness.
