Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the dried fruits gently.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
