  • 3 large egg whites (100g)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • ½ cup salted caramel sauce (160g)
  • Edible gold luster dust (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whip egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the almond mixture into the whipped egg whites in three additions until combined.
  5. Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe circles on prepared sheets. Tap to release air bubbles.
  6. Let macarons rest until a skin forms (about 30 minutes).
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then cool completely.
  8. Assemble by piping salted caramel onto half the shells and topping with another shell. Dust with gold luster dust before serving.
