  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in crushed candy canes and optional white chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
