  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Divide dough in half; add cocoa powder to one half and mix well.
  7. Roll small portions of both doughs into balls, flatten slightly, and place on prepared baking sheets in alternating patterns.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool slightly before serving.
