  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 vanilla bean, scraped
  • 3 tbsp brewed Earl Grey tea (cooled)
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Brew the Earl Grey tea by steeping 2 teaspoons in 1 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Strain and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla bean seeds and cooled tea.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
