  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture along with milk. Fold in the chopped apples gently.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
