Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and lavender.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into two logs on a floured surface (1 inch high and 4 inches wide) and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown, then cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Slice logs diagonally into half-inch thick pieces and lay them flat on the baking sheet. Bake for an additional 10 minutes per side until crisp.
