  • 1 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in melted butter and Irish cream until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Frost cooled cake layers generously.
