Hazelnut Mocha Torte is a heavenly dessert that beautifully marries the rich flavors of chocolate, coffee, and roasted hazelnuts. This indulgent torte offers a moist and airy texture that melts in your mouth with every bite.

  • 1 cup roasted hazelnuts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brewed coffee

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the roasted hazelnuts until finely chopped but not powdered.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs and melted butter until smooth; stir in brewed coffee.
  5. Gradually fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. Gently stir in chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
