  • 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Toss pear slices with 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and layer them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and milk until smooth (lumps are okay). Pour half of the batter over the pears.
  4. Drizzle the remaining batter on top of the first layer.
  5. Mix brown sugar with the remaining cinnamon and sprinkle over the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.
