  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Alternately mix in the dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar with remaining cinnamon. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, add the remaining batter, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
