  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cream softened butter until smooth; gradually add in sugar and beat until fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time.
  4. Alternate adding the dry mixture with milk into the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar.
