  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients.
  4. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Layer half of the batter in the baking dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, then add remaining batter and sprinkle with the rest of the mixture.
  5. Swirl through the batter gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before icing.
