Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, nuts, and dried fruit of your choice.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the center. Cool on wire racks before serving.
