  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 4 tbsp milk (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden; let cool before transferring to wire racks.
  7. Once cooled, frost with vanilla icing and add sprinkles if desired.
