  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chopped cherries, dill pickles, and chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
