  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (adjust for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and chai spices until combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  5. Spoon batter into muffin tins two-thirds full and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
  6. To make the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cardamom powder; mix in milk until desired consistency is reached. Frost cooled cupcakes generously.
