Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat the melted butter with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed—do not overmix.
  5. Scoop about two tablespoons of dough, flatten it slightly, place one tablespoon of Nutella in the center, and wrap the dough around to form balls.
  6. Place cookie balls on prepared sheets about two inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
