  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round baking pans or line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients while gently stirring until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in the chopped cherries until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
