  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before removing from the pan.
  6. For the ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering and pour over dark chocolate chips. Let sit before stirring until smooth.
  7. Assemble by pouring ganache over the cooled cake and topping with fresh raspberries.
