  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (chilled and cubed)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa, chopped)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine flour and 1/4 cup sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly; press into a tart pan evenly.
  2. Blind bake for 15 minutes with pie weights or dried beans until lightly golden; let cool.
  3. Melt dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat; stir until smooth. Remove from heat to cool slightly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and remaining sugar until creamy. Gradually mix in the chocolate mixture, then fold in chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Pour filling into cooled tart shell; bake for another 20-25 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing; dust with powdered sugar if desired.
