  • ¾ cup buttermilk (or milk)
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until frothy.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter. Add a teaspoon of chocolate hazelnut spread to each and top with remaining batter. Swirl gently with a toothpick.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
