Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and mix until light.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add milk and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting with colored icing.
