  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting. Beat together softened butter and powdered sugar; add cream to reach desired consistency. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes.
