  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)

  • ½ cup milk (room temperature)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (for caramel sauce)
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, blending well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool before generously topping with salted caramel sauce.
