Fourth of July Cookie Bars are a festive and delightful treat perfect for summer celebrations.   • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips and half of the sprinkles.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking dish and top with remaining sprinkles.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
